Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline (PharmD or MS preferred). 
His / her experience should be a ‘full service’ one (from protocol to study close-out) and not just clinical operations.

The Clinical Head, Europe is responsible for building and managing the Company’s Clinical Services vertical with end to end P&L accountability, providing the vision and leadership to drive the growth of the clinical business unit and to greatly accelerate its revenue growth. The Clinical Head will leverage their expertise to drive sales of existing offerings as well as new clinical trial offerings. The Head, Clinical Business Unit will lead the development and delivery of outsourced services in clinical data management, statistical programming, biostatistics and medical writing capabilities to help large biotech and pharmaceutical companies with their outsourcing needs. Additionally, she or he will coordinate and manage clinical operations activities ensuring delivery excellence across the existing sites and providing business-building support through developing new service offerings (Full-service from protocol to study, late phase trial including NIS studies, functional services for in-house trials, tech-led monitoring, etc.) and supporting the sales teams to drive aggressive growth of the clinical business.

She or he is responsible for meeting SLAs and CSATs across a range of offerings and customers. The Head, Clinical will provide support and guidance to clinical project managers across different locations and will work closely with the QA team and CMO to author and review SOPs. The Head, Clinical Business Unit will ensure a high level of customer relationship/satisfaction. The head will build strong relationships with existing and new clients through the highest level of delivery and will work closely with sales teams to close business deals and provide support on critical bids.

The Head – Clinical Business Unit will be an accomplished biopharmaceutical industry with strong technology-enabled clinical trial operations experience gained from leading global operations at reputed mid-sized CRO and pharmaceutical companies. He or she has a proven track record of operational leadership and innovation in the clinical operations space. This executive will have proven line management experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical procedures, regulations and guidelines. Has demonstrated insight driven thought leadership in innovative methods of delivery (new delivery methods, new business models)

  • Identifies offerings that fit with customer needs even if not identified by customer, and offers them proactively.

In order to pursue the Company’s global of accelerated sales building and providing excellence in delivery within the customers’ clinical operations business units

  • Engages people in discussion around the business direction, conveying the organizational vision and direction and how the unit of a project fits in.
  • Implements new processes and delegates projects with a clear set of agreed objectives/measures of success.
  • Translates business goals into priorities and individual performance measures aligned with goal progress measures and communicates regularly about long-term goals to reinforce the larger intent.
  • Frequently reviews project progress and seeks corrective actions when needed.
